Help Needed: Relocating Running Board Lights

I have an 07 Limited with the lighted running boards currently installed. These are coming off this month and sometime in the future I will install some sliders.

I'd like to relocate the lights mounted in the running boards under the truck in some housing to protect them. I like having the light near the ground when I'm approaching the truck and getting in/out. Wondering if anyone has already done this or has any suggestions? Thanks.

This is gonna sound weird but is there any way you can take a picture of like where the wires come out of the cab and down to the running boards, and what color the wires are? I've looked a few times on my SR5 trying to find it so I can splice in some led lights on the side but haven't had any luck really. Im hoping it's a deal where I already have the connector there inside the floorboard somewhere but it just wasn't pushed through the cab because my running boards weren't lit from the factory. Thanks!

I have left this page open since you posted. I have been slammed with a baseball tournament so as soon as i get some free time i will post a couple pics

I bought a couple of pairs of these off of Amazon for like $8.00 per pair. They are designed to be DRLs but I stuck 2 to the bottom of each running board for some additional light. They work great. The factory wiring is about half way down the truck and the wires are red and white. Red is hot (always hot) and white is ground. The ground is activated when the lights are to come on. I will take some pictures when I get a chance.

Those are really cool. I was actually thinking about mounting some more Eagle Eye lights along the underside facing down but that would mean making more mounts. I think the light you have would work better for that application. They are all over eBay for like $6 a pair with free shipping. They might be coming from Hong Kong but that is a deal.

Both momo's Eagle Eye lights and bama's RioRand lights look like good options for my application. I was thinking of trying to reuse the lights I have (previously installed LEDs) but mounting and encasing them so they are protected from the elements was my concern.
