Help - No Crush Washer for Oil Drain Bolt

So I changed the oil in my 2007 V8 SE for the first time since purchasing it the other day and much to my surprise, there was no crush washer on my oil drain bolt.

I had planned on reusing the old one for one more oil cycle so didn't buy one at the store.

Everything seems to be working fine but not having the crush washer is bothering me.

So, do I go out and buy the crush washer and replace all the new oil I just put in or do I keep going until the next oil change to add the crush washer?

Don't worry about it. You're fine, especially if there hasn't been one there all this time. I'm not diligent about changing/replacing it and I've had no problems over many years with Toyota products.

The crush washer might be stuck on the pan. It's stuck to the pan for me on every oil change. The pan on my V6 is smooth around the drain hole, so if you feel a ring around the opening it's the crush washer.

Don't worry about it and change it during the next oil change. As long as it's not leaking there's not much to worry about.

I really like the fiber washers (supplied at the dealer) I just snug them up [not as tight as the metal ones] I buy a ten pack and replace them every other change. I have 3 different sizes and use them on all four of my vehicles.

When I was putting the oil drain bolt back on I saw that the fiber washer stuck to the oil pan. I've never seen one before so I didn't recognize it.
