Help! Part work around needed!

I am trying to replace this breather valve (see pic attached) and toyota is giving me the shaft. They say that I need to purchase the entire breather assembly for $54 for this little valve. Im not finding this specific size online or at an auto part store. Any thoughts?

I know O'reilly has a similar part for a couple bucks. Axle breather. Any parts store person should know if you bring the old one in to compare.

Is that what the front axle breather looks like when you pull it out?

Silly question....why are you replacing it (how do you know it's bad)?
