ok there are prolly alot of thses threads but i coulndt really find one that explaned it good..could someone tell me or show a thread on how to change the coolant in a 02 sport...and i was in the dealer yesterday for a oil change and he said i should have the tranny fluid change every 15,000 mile! is that true

its not any different than any other vehicle. if ur a beginner on working on vehicles you may want to get a repair manual and an owner's manual. the 4runner does not have any bleeder valves so it is pretty easy.

I was looking at doing this on my 99, and after looking at the repair manual, its pretty simple.

All you have to do is unscrew the petcock on the bottom of the radiator, flush it out, and put some new coolant. Start your vehicle for a few, check your coolant levels and add more if nessesary.

ok sounds easy...what kind of coolant did you use..and how much? and when i do it do i let the car get up to warm and then check?
