Decent Radio?

What is the best aftermarket audio unit?

I don't need Nav or a screen or such. Just something that will play music from my iphone.

You win!

I've decided on this one. Anyone have a write-up?

THANKS to ALL:fro:

Unit has pretty good reviews. I have had good luck with kenwood stuff. Even have one with ipod control installed in my golf cart.

The only thing this doesnt have, that some want, is a rear usb port. Some like to run their ipod wire to that and run it to the glove box to stash the ipod out of site. Thats not something we care about, though, because we mainly use iphones and prefer to keep them handy.

Mr. Fancy Pants :hatsoff:

I have not seen the unit in person, but I think it would look pretty sharp with amber bulbs in the dash, and the amber color setting!

Are you planning to install it yourself?
If so I request a detailed write-up.

I would, but i might get accused of over-posting on the topic. I will be happy to email you the details if you send me a pm with your email address. For some helpful information, you could review my recent threads on the diversity antenna and how to remove the dash fascia to access the factory radio. The new kenwood is my daughter's birthday present, so i wont ne doing the install until around the 22nd of this month.

I finally installed my Kenwood DXP308U today, after Crutchfield finally delivered my wiring harness.

The last couple days I've been taking the Dash apart and messing around, running down my battery. Then today I was playing with it, car off, went to roll up my windows and the radio turned off. Went to start the engine, just heard click click click. So I roll started it. Drove around, battery is all good now.

I love the Kenwood. It makes everything so clear, especially with an iPod hooked up. The install was pretty easy. It's AWESOME!
