Sister said she was driving and noticed the rear window rolled all the way down, she also stated she didn't do it, so seems like something must've pressed the button on the remote. I tried removing the negative terminal on the battery for any electronics to reset, nothing and the window key lock switch isn't on either.

Searching up some threads on various forums, maybe the problem is due to rusted out window regulator mount tabs that ended up breaking off and causing the window to fall all of a sudden. I'll take a look tomorrow or this weekend; fortunately the forecast calls for no rain.

Yeah, tried closing it multiple times, nothing. BUT I just started randomly unlocking/locking doors and pressing the rear window button up front and it moved up a little, so that's a good sign, but I'm still unsure what's wrong. Maybe some wires are messed up? Does anyone know how to properly power the rear window motor directly?

Sorry, you said it moved a little so if then yea you got a possible short or corrosion in there. Or check and make sure it's not something like the window seal just dirty or sticking to the glass. In the North West, we can get mold and it will make it hard for windows to work. Can always try shutting the hatch firm a few tries and see if it helps at least get it put up for now.
The electronic door latch still works and have tried closing it a few times to make sure it's secure. I removed the inner plastic panel, which has part of the window seal attached, so it should go up smoothly if anything was sticking. I've read some individuals just directly supplied power to the motor to get it to go up, but that was on other generations. Hoping someone could guide me through that since I'm no good at electronics and just need it closed for now.
On Page 201 of that manual, it shows the wires for the motor, it has 6 wires, how would I determine which wires I would connect to an independent battery to just close it?
I tried using another battery to power the motor directly, didn't work. I used the Y-B wire and L-W wire according to the diagram that was posted, looks like I might be doing something wrong. What's weird is that I kept playing with the window switch up front and it kept going up little by little until it completely closed. I was going to disconnect the harness from the rear motor but as soon as I lifted the tailgate, the window went back down again! If someone more knowledgeable about circuits could help me power the motor directly, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'll try my luck again and see if I can get the window to go back up, but doesn't look too good, might've wasted all my luck.
Yeah, I was lucky enough to get the window back up ~1 hour ago and unplugged the harness to the rear motor by doing what you just stated to avoid the window going back down. Good thing is the window is back up now, bad thing is the wiper and rear defroster won't work anymore since I'm assuming the ECU thinks the window is down without any power to it.
Yeah, I just have it unplugged for now, almost winter time. I need to ask for help from someone more knowledgeable on electronics, I wanted to see if I could just cover up some of those pins on the diagram posted on the first page of the rear window motor that controls the windows up + down function and just have it plugged in so the defroster and wiper works.
There is a rear ECU in the back, I think it's around $300 or so and don't want to replace it if that's not the problem, which I'm not sure of right now.
