Help! Removing upper control arms

Excuse me for being a noob but I can't figure out how to remove these. I've got everything undone except the bolt on the balljoint connecting the arm to the spindle. Any tips for getting this sucker loose?

It looks like the ball joint boot is wasted already, just us a pickle fork in between them and wacke it with a hammer. Done.

harbor freight pitman arm puller, or BFH to UCA. pitman arm puller really makes life easy...

Thanks guys and yeah lol my light racing UCAs came with bushings so I showed no mercy on the old ones

Ive always heard, "hit what it goes through" so in this case, give a good whack with a hammer to the spindle. Its never failed me, hope that helps

Success! Pickle fork didn't work but the pitman arm puller came through.

pitman puller is the move. Also JFYI I used a swivel with my impact to get those stubborn nuts off the long bolts and tighten them down before torquing them, made it really easy.

also is it just me or does the stocker look a bit rusty?

i always throw some WD-40 in the spindle hole and when its time to unbolt it i give it a lot of hits with a BFH and always comes free.

LR UCAs are easy install. I really like mine.

Just hit the flat spot on the spindle below the ball joint and it will release everytime. Does your control arms have the new and improved inner sleeves if not make sure you get them.

Thanks for all the help again guys, anyways here's how the front ended up. Shiny new UCAs compliment the Bilsteins and 885s. Time to get these 5160s and superflexes in the rear and then go get an alignment!

Success! Pickle fork didn't work but the pitman arm puller came through.

I had the same problem with the pickle fork and it was wedge in between already using the hammer, so, broke out the #12 sledge hammer, one hit and no problem. Sorry should have told you to get a BFH.

Looking good there, I know you have to be a happy camper now.
