HELP: Slip and VSC TRAC Indicator lights on (no CEL)

I have a 2005 Sport Edition 4x2 V8 and recently the SLIP and VSC TRAC indicator lights came on but no CEL or ABS lights. I've read through several of the threads related to or similar to this issue. Most indicate that a zero-point calibration may fix it but unfortunately not in my case. I can complete the ZPC and the lights will turn off but they return a short time later. I once drove the truck (straight for the most part) for more than five minutes without the lights coming on but as soon as I turned the steering wheel beyond a certain point (in either direction), they came on again. I've tested this in the driveway as well because when you first start the truck, the lights are off. I backed up and pulled forward and no lights but as soon as I backed up and pulled forward and turned the wheel (quite a bit), they reappeared.

I took the truck to a trusted mechanic and he connected a scan tool that indicated "suspect steering angle sensor" so he ordered and replaced the steering angle sensor however that did not resolve the issue. Unfortunately, he can't return the part to Toyota. He checked a number of other things and consulted with a Toyota/Lexus tech but they were unable to come up with a solution. Their best guess is that there's something wrong in the ABS module that is part of the master cylinder.

I've considered replacing the brake light switch on a wing and prayer but the behavior of the issue seems to point to a steering-related problem.

Does anyone have any other suggestions that I could try before spending big bucks on a master cylinder?

Do a search for Zero Point Calibration. That is the problem here.

I did not find a solution to my problem. As stated, the ZPC alone did not resolve it for me. The replacement steering sensor was also not a solution. I didn't want to keep throwing money at parts replacement so I haven't pursued it any further. Please let me know if you find a solution.
