HELP wheel/spacer hell

Let me preface by saying I have searched the forum HIGH AND LOW.

I have a set of Rev Assault 440 17x9 6x139 for a toyota 4runner. When I went to have them mounted I was told that I didnt have the correct bore size and that a set of spacers would bring the wheel further away and take care of that problem. I purchased a set of 1.25" spacers. Now the problem is that the old lug nuts from the factory wheel dont fit. They only catch about 2 threads. The tire shop recommended a 2" "shank" for the new lugs. Any thoughts on how the hell to fix this? SO tired of having these in storage

If you mean wheel adapters, buy conical extended length (ET) style lug nuts from Gorilla lug pt# 21133ET for chrome, and 21133ETBC for the black chrome... The factory lugs won't work.

If the hub bore is too small, it may be too small for the wheel adapter as well.

If they told you they had the wrong bore size then they are probably made for a GM ,not a Toyota. Most GM trucks hub size is 78mm and a Toyota's is 106mm even though they have the same 6x139 lug pattern.Chevy's can bolt wheels on designed for a Toyota with a bigger bore using conical nuts because their hubs are smaller but not other way around.

I imagine you could get some 106/78 adapters or like they said get spacers ,longer studs and do it the half azz way. IMO,Better to get wheels designed to fit a Toyota truck in the first place.

I'm guessing that you used some drop in spacers that slip over the factory lugs. True, use some extended thread nuts. Or get some non-hub centric bolt on spacers. These will bolt on with one set of nuts and the wheel will bot to them using a second set of nuts. Non-hub centric so it doesn't have the flange (mock hub) on the spacer.
