Help with daystar spacer install on 4th gen.

Aloha all,

I have been lurking in the shadows, and searching but cant find what I need to know? So here is my questions. I have on 07 limited.
I am in the process of the the day star 2.5/1.5 spacer install. I have everything off of the front on the drivers side and I cant get the strut out. I am doing it myself, Do I need to remove the front stabilizer bar its what I cant get the strut around (can I losen the bolts and turn it down to the ground on both sides?) Or do I just need a buddy to lean hard on the LCA and yank it out. To dark now will whack on it again tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated.

Just did this. Pull the whole sway bar. 6 bolts, easy. Then drop the lower control arms AFTER you get the strut unbolted. Use a pry bar to push the LCA down and, then slide the strut out.

Trying searching the forum. Tons of threads on this.

Then one, I believe you haven't been lurking here for a while and two you simply bought the Daystar lift kit without doing proper research before installing the kit.

All done and it looks like it should have been originally from toyota!

I really did explore all step by step tutorials and I have learned that most utube videos leave something out like (a step). That something removing the stabilizer/sway bar. You never truly know what you are getting into until,your ass deep in it!

One weekend later and the lift is complete. The back is by far easier than the front. One stripped sway bar bolt on the front has made things interesting (14m frame bolt)!. I will have my buddy try and get it off or perhaps weld it to the frame worst case senario. Any suggestions out there?

This was a fun Project I am glad I completed it and my rig looks great. Just as with most of the posts I have seen I will post pics later

Anyone have the maximum tire spec without or with minimal trimming that can be run with the day star kit. I think its going to be 275-65or 60-18 but am dreaming about 285's. I am narrowing it to 3-4 tires choices, Duritracs, NGT's, BFG's, or revo 2's! Hawaii has lots of rock sharp kiawea (thorns already punctured my Faulkens once) and mud, and plenty of loose sand on the beaches. Which puts the Duritracks and revo 2's seeming pretty soft.
Anyone been down this road before?
