Help with hood/bug deflector

Hi all, this is my first post on this forum. From what I've read so far and the information that I've gained I plan on being a long term member.

I just purchased a 04 SE V6 last month and have been shopping around for accessories. I found a hood deflector on E-Bay that looked like a good deal. I won the bid and was able to purchase it for about $40 including the shipping. The problem is that it did not have all of the hardware(which they said in the ad). It is missing two of the brackets which they said could easily be purchased at any Toyota dealer for a couple bucks,WRONG. I called both of our local dealers and one in Miami. They all told me that the only way to get any of the hardware was to purchase the whole hardware kit for $50. I thought that was a little steep for what amounts to 4 brackets and a handfull of screws.

Does anyone know where I can find the two missing brackets without spending an arm and a leg?

P.S. Love my new 4-Runner. Much nicer than my 00 Durango.

I bought mine from WeatherTech (mats.com) and their attaching hardware consists of an expanding rubber grommet that fits in existing holes on both ends of the hood. If I didn't have the rubber grommets, I would be tempted to try a small wing nut (flips open with a spring) with rubber washers to protect both sides of the shield.
Good Luck.

I only used 2 of the 4 brackets I didnt like how far out the bug deflector stuck off the hood all I did was remove the grill and place the deflector between the grill and the hood and I drilled 2 holes like the ones already in the hood to match up with the other 2 brackets. so if you want to try that it worked for me and if you dont want to do that i have the 2 extra brackets if you want them just pm me
