Ok, I have spent the last two hours trying to find the answer and have read every thread related to the Scion T10015 HU for my 06 SR5, non-JBL HU upgrade. If someone can help me get this figured out and working right, I will gladly pay it forward with a FREE satellite tuner (it's an aftermarket Pioneer unit, see pics below).
Well, I'll pay it forward even if you don't help me out...but can someone please advise?
Here is what I have purchased, with pictures:
HU T10016 PT546-00140
Harmon extension box (came mounted with unit), PT296-00140-AA
Then, from Toyota:
PT546-00120-AD
PT546-00120-CH
PT546-NU160
PT546-00120-US
...and a GPS antenna from eBay
Now, I see today that I missed at least one part: the harness that connects the two units.
Can someone look at this and tell me what else I am missing to be able to get this together? My goal is to have BT, USB input/charging, and NAV.
I noticed that the Toyota harness that has the antenna input seems "stretched" when I plug the one part in on one side of the back of the unit where it seems to go, and the other part that is the antenna input. It is so short that it seems like I am either doing something wrong or I got the wrong one.
I have the picture of the back of the unit so I might be able to get clear instructions, if possible.
Lastly...
A buddy took his aftermarket HU out of his Nissan.
I installed that in a buddy's Xterra, but he didn't want the sat unit. I don't think I'd use it, so I figured I would offer it to a forum brother (or sister) for the cost of shipping. Pay it forward, right?
