Hi everyone,
I just got my car lifted and when completing the lift, the shop said the LBJ, tie rods and bushings needed replacement. With 280k on the odometer, I was already planning on replacing the lower ball joints. I received a quote for 600 from a different shop for just the LBJ replacement and ~ 2500 for all 3 from the shop that did my lift.
Would anyone be willing to help me do this on my own in the San Francisco Bay Area? Reading it, it seems like a straightforward replacement but I don't have the tools nor am I comfortable tackling it on my own.
I really don't want to spend 2500 but know that I need to replace the LBJ soon. Do the tie rods and bushings need to be replaced at the same time or are they not as urgent?
