Hello everyone,
I have a nice list of maintenance items that I will hopefully be completing next week and I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on what weights of fluids I should use and if I should go synthetic or standard. As far as I know, these have never been done because I have no receipts from the previous owner involving them and I have not done them so I decided it was a good idea. Also should something like the front diff not be worried about because the amount of time running in 4wd is hardly anything compared to street driving?
The list:
-Coolant flush
-Transmission fluid change
-Gear oil change
-Power steering flush
-Transfer case flush
-Front differential flush
-Greasing zirk fittings
-Fuel filter
-Spark plugs and wires
-Drive belts maybe
-PCV valve
I have a 1997 SR5 4wd with no locker and about 139,000 miles. All the parts, or non-fluids I will be getting from the dealership because my buddy who works there can hook me up with his discount. Thanks in advanced!
