Hello,

Does anyone know what is the part # is for the outer "dust shield" on the CV axle? I know the part # for the inner dust shield (diff side) but need the part # for the outboard shield that covers the wheel bearing. Thanks in advance.

I think it might be p/n 43442-35060.

Looks like that is the right part number (2003-2020 Toyota Dust Seal 43442-35060 | Toyota Parts), but ask the parts department at your local Toyota dealer to be sure.

Reviewing the parts in that area, that is NOT the right part number. If you look at the CV axle joint kits (Toyota 4Runner Cv joint kit (left, right, front). Brakes, suspension - 4346069205 - Genuine Toyota Part), second picture, you will see that there is not a "dust seal" on the joint/ CV axle; i.e. the boot clamps directly to the splined shaft.

But the part number you gave, is for the wheel bearing dust seal, but it is NOT on the CV axle.

After further researching I think this may be the part # 90304-A0001. According to some FJ/Taco forums this would fit across the 4Runner/FJ platform even though parts websites say it doesn't fit the 5th gen T4R.

That part number is for older 4Runners, through 2007. Your original post has the right part number. I was WRONG on my earlier post; that dust cover does fit on the end of the CV axle. (My apologies).

Go to page 2784 and 2789 of the factory repair manual for the details on how the CV axle goes together and how to remove/replace the dust cover: TOYOTA 2016-2019 4Runner Repair Manual RM27F0U
