Help with Rear axle Seal leak!!

Even new bearings will wobble around a bit when the axle shaft/brake assembly is out of the axle housing. Play should be measured with it all bolted together. Something like 0.7mm axial play is allowed.

when I pressed on my new hub bearing to the rear axle there was no play at all in it the retaining collar seats the inner and outer cones of the bearing preventing any play.

even when the bearing was bad it had no play until it was unbolted from the axle house and it had way more than .7mm of axial play
