Help with small lift and tire size options....

fyi.... on the daystar website in the catalog it does show that the 1" front lift(actually about 1.5" when installed) for 3rd gen 4runners is an easy install kit. so i ordered that from autoanything thinking that what was what i would receive. when i received them, they were the old style (have to dissassemble strut kind). i was like wtf. so i called daystar and someone finally gave me an answer that made sense. he said that there wasn't enough bolt thread on the stock bolts to add the stud extensions for the easy install kit. kinda makes sense. he then told me that the 2.5" lift spacer (also listed as easy install) is the new style and comes with stud extensions. i don't get it. the bigger one would work and not the smaller one ????? so thats the info i got. so know i have the old style. i want to get new front shocks so maybe ill keep them and install them when i put new shocks on since it would be the perfect time for that anyway. agree??

I agree. I'm not s sure that even Daystar knows what they are talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if they were talking about 4th gens and 3rd gens at the same time w/o realizing that they're not the same.

And what are those 2"?

They are 1" thick which gave me about 1.5" of lift.

Where are people placing their jack stands when doing the rear since the axle needs to be mobile?
