I am adding a whole jl audio setup to my T4R but I am new to the whole car audio in general.. I was hoping some of you with a bit more knowledge could help shed some light on the two subs I'm looking at. I'm using the factory sub enclosure, but because of mounting depth I would have to get a little gasket for one of the subs. which I know another member has done with the same sub. Anyways, down to business
The first (which would require the gasket) is the jl audio 8w3V3-4 which Is 50-250w rms, 4 ohm, And an ideal sealed box of .3ft3 which would require me to seal off more area in the box (at roughly .6ft3) here's a link to it

The second choice is the jl audio zr800-cw, which is a mid bass driver and I have no idea what that really means. According to the description, it can be used as a powerful midbass driver in a 4-way component system with bass, midbass, midrange, and high frequencies amplified separately, or employ it as a subwoofer for tight, accurate deep notes. The ZR800-CW works in both sealed and vented enclosures, as well in free-air applications as a rear deck or door speaker. JL Audio designed this versatile speaker to deliver the best sound reproduction possible, with plenty of detail within its supple low tones.
The zr800 Is a 4ohm, 75-150w rms and the great part is the mounting depth wouldn't require a gasket and the ideal volume is about 1ft3 greater so hopefully it isn't drastic enough to be a problem. Here's a link to it
