Help!!!

So I tried the no spring compressor method and so far it's not working. I set the the 5100 to the 2nd ring from the bottom (.85) and I have the 885 coils. Is this the wrong set up for the average lift? I got to a point where I jacked the LCA with my hydraulic jack and it compressed the coil but then stop and started lifting the truck. I couldn't get the LCA back into the ball connector so that I could complete the side. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Spring perch upside down? It happens from time to time.

I checked and everything looks correct.

The 885's should provide around 2.5 - 3" of lift if I remember correctly so you might be a little tall, but it should still go back together.

So the pictures that show the 5100/885s are at the point where it will lift the LCA and start lifting the 4runner as well. When I drop the 5100 to the lowest setting, I can push down on the ball joint and it'll connect with the LCA but at the .85, I feel like I would have to apply to much pressure and possible break something to get them connected. I'm stuck. If I don't get it tonight, I'm going to take them to a shop to get set tomorrow.

Everything looks right to me and I'm assuming that you have the coil sitting on the lower perch correctly. I would just set the perches at the "zero" setting and see what the ride height looks like... it'll probably be about 3" higher.

I think I got it. I just needed to apply a little pressure on the uca and i have everything connected now

an extra set of hands can make this way easier. I'm running a little less lift than you and it took me an hour to reconnect with the no spring compressor method on one side, then with help i reconnected the other in less than 5 minutes
