[4RunnerTRDPRO]

New trdp with 300mi after 10 seconds of starting complete power loss and engine cut off in park mode. Restarts fine like nothing happened and no engine service light.

Advice so far :
1) take back to dealer
2) alternator
3) take back to dealer!

Anyone know what the problem is?

Negative. Did not touch anything. Only turned on two heated seats, locked the door and turned the ignition. Car started normally and shut of 10 sec later. Complete power loss like I didn't pay the electric bill. Happened last night. Has yet to happen again.

That sounds exactly like what happens the first time you start it after disconnecting the battery. Maybe pop the hood and make sure the battery terminal connections are nice and tight before you start panicking.

Checked this afternoon and all tight.

For sure, get it back to the dealer!
They will hook the umbilical cord up to their computer, and read any trouble codes associated with that incident, even if your dash display did not show anything.
That is unacceptable behaviour, and it is under warranty. If you don't get it diagnosed now, it might not happen again for months, but then come back at a very bad time.

The toughest problem to diagnose is one that happened once and then is gone. Something that happens once but has a result, such as a wheel falling off, is different. I was just giving you a maybe different way to look at things. Take it in if it will ease your mind

No aftermarket alarms or remote start. Everything is oem.

Just like I had a one year old car I bought new, and one day the battery was completely dead on it. It had auto headlight shut off and stuff, and everything was off anyway, I have no idea what caused it. It sat for three days from the time I parked it to when I discovered it when I went to unlock the doors.

I took it to the dealer, they looked for the problem, but did not find anything, and it never happened again for the next 16 months until i traded the car in on something else.
