Okay, I have turned to my fellow friends at t4r.org to help me. Today i bought a 12 " Kicker Comp VX Subwoofer. And a Sony Xplod 500w amplifier. I have a stock head unit. I am having wiring problems. Also I dont know how to connect my audio cables to the stock head unit. Any input would be appriciated. I am desperate.

I dont think the factory deck will have inputs to plug your sub into. Im pretty sure you will have to get an aftermarket deck with sub pre-outs or buy a device that hooks into your factory head unit but has pre-outs for aftermarket speakers/subs.

If your amp has a high input section marked on it, you would tap into your rear speaker wires anyplace thats convient to do so.

If your amp does not have a high input option, then you need an adapter for this, (I think they make this still?) but better to get an aftermarket headunit with rca outputs so it all plugs up correctly with less interference and cleaner sound then the other two options.

Also alot of newer decent model headunits have separate sub controls built in so you can turn them up or down (Some, careful of distortion) this is a nice feature.

get a new deck there cheap for a really nice one and will sound a hell of alot better

x a million...

You feed your sub and amp from the stock deck and you just wasted your money on a sub and amp.

Decent aftermarket deck can be had so cheap, and will be a million times better than the stock deck. Plus I hear that the stock deck has a tendency to eat small children. Not sure if you'r a family man, but it's worth taking into account anyway.

Line output adapter on ebay for $16.
