1st gen DC Tacomas are extremely hard to find in 4WD (at least around these parts) and having under 150k and not a salvaged title on top of that is almost impossible for under 14k, so that's something to consider. You might be able to find a 2nd gen DC Tacoma 4x4 for that price range...

Id say look at what you want in a vehicle and if its a truck, go with the Taco. If not low mileage runner!

I saw a 1st gen DC 2002 cab with 91,000 miles TRD, 4wd, auto at a dealer auction in VA last week sell for $12,200. It was a bank repo. The dealer (buyer) told me after the auction ended that he had already sold it with a sticker price of $15,600 to a friend's son.

I'd still vote for the 4gen with the V8.

Oh, and carrying wood is for camp fires...I don't think I can get a delivery truck to drop a bed full of wood 40+ miles off the beaten path. Never landscape again?? You're obviously not married. :hatsoff: But I do get what you mean.

2nd marriage and I have a 107 year old house. I really just meant to the extent you did the first project to. Camp fires are a while different story. Buy the Taco and call it a day.
