Well, This is what i plan on doing:
I MADE A LIST OF THINGS I PLAN ON DOING WHEN I GET MY 4RUNNER. THESE ARE QUICK NOTES, SORRY FOR LACK OF QUALITY HAHA, BUT THIS IS MY DREAM 4RUNNER PLANS:
STEPS STEPS STEPS:
Do a quick rinse of the exterior with water
When putting everything on the 4runner, first take all the wheels off, front brake rotors/pads, fill up gas tank, flush all fluids, and fill up all fluids.
Take off front grille, running boards, rear spoiler, roof rack
Disconnect track bar, spare wheel, sway bars, suspension, coil springs.
Wd40 all joins, rubber parts, bolts to prevent rust. change engine and oil filters.
Install new thermostat and aftermarket trans cooler if needed.
If i can, run through gas tank or engine cleaner, or any cleaner in any system, and clean up everything and take out any old or rusted or broken or aged parts anywhere.
Power-wash Wheel wells, undercarriage, everything, till nothing but metal is left.
Sand EVERYTHING down with a metal brush, or soft brush on plastic. Get all rust gone this step.
Spray high temp black rustuoleum spray paint on exhaust. ( have muffler Welded before this process if possible)
Clean inside door hinges, and put white grease on hinges and any other moving parts.
Spray rust converter everywhere through these process's
Spray down Primer on all the underside and possibly wheel wells too.
Let dry 5 mins. Then do another COAT
After 20 mins, SAND EVERYTHING DOWN AGAIN.
Then Power-wash everything again!
Then do 2 more coats of primer
Then do 2-3 coats of rustoleum black or Rubberized undercoating.
Let dry for few days.
INTERIOR: (This is the Expensive way that i would want to do)
Take out every single piece inside. (DON'T BREAK ANYTHING)
Vacuum all the interior. Clean with water and soap.
Then clean with alcohol with Microfiber towel, Everywhere.
Clean all interior pieces, with soft brush and alcohol,
Spray all pieces down with sand-able primer
Sand all pieces down to soft finish. Sand blast them and clean off
Spray down 2 more coats of primer
Let sit for 1hr+ Then give 4+ Base coats of "MATT" Black.
Let sit in ventilated area, no dust or wind, for few days to cure.
Also take out all Audio: Stereo, Speakers, Tweaters, Wires,
Take out front corner, blinkers, tail, and 3rd break lights.
ROLL WINDOWS DOWN ALL THE WAY.
Then Take Red clamp off Battery.
Make sure all interior is cleaned, then start putting in sound deadener with 3M spray
After all top and bottom and sides, rear door, and 4 doors are done....
Then put on thick insulation padding on open big areas. Anywhere possible.
Let cure for an hour+.
Install 1 or 2 amps. With All cords correctly hidden and through firewall.
Install Stereo with 4 speakers+ 2 tweeters. ( 2 din Touch screen)
Install wire back to rear tail light, and license plate for REAR CAMERA
Install any Rock lights, Led strips, inside or outside with hidden wires.
Install any other things that need to be, before carpet.
Install Power Inverter,
Install new BLACK carpet with mass backing from Stockinteriors.com.
Shampoo all seats, or get new seats ready.
Install old or new seats, with none or new seat covers. BLACK
Paint or install new or old BLACK Fabrics, seat-belts, rear cargo cover
Re install all plastic pieces, and setup airbag again.
Install any interior cosmetics, such as console stitched covers.
Plug in amps, lights, sub-woofer. ( finish custom sub location if you want. )
Install new BLACK headboard cloth, with 3M adhesive.
Black out any other parts, such as head visors.
Make some plastic pieces White, Or white stitching on fabric, for accent.
Re-install every piece inside. Led overheads. Paint all screws and everything BLACK
Let everything sit and cure inside.
Tint windows at a shop, before or after these steps. 20-40% all around. Including sunroof. Front top dark strip.
Get new windshield if cracked, or fix any small cracks.
Lube up all suspension and screws once again. Fix anything that is wrong.
Install 1" Body lift
Install full suspension lift. 2-4" Adjustable (White or black color only.)
Install all need pieces in the lift.
Diff drops
Prime and paint adjustable Trackbar/Panhard bar WHITE WHITE WHITE
Then install the track bar and any other suspension items.
Install New TUNDRA BREAKS, Calipers ( Painted white) , Roters. etc.
Paint Drum breaks, high temp black or white paint, after cleaned.
WASHING:
Wash down the whole exterior in 50-60 dagree weather in shade if possible.
Use hose, microfiber towel, mild soap. Get everywhere.
behind lights, bumpers, bugs out , windows, roof, body.
Dry down everything, no soap or water stains.
Wax using a high power buffer, with miguires paint re-newer or/and good WAX
Wipe off the wax completely.
Install all new CLEAR/FROSTED/WHITE Lights, WITH LED BULBS.
Keep headlights the same, or upgrade to HID RETROFIT PROJECTORS
Install the 1-1.5" Spidertax Wheel Spacers
Install new rims ( Black, or Black w/white or silver accent)
Install new wheels (33-35") Give some blackening product to them.
Paint New Jaos Rear Spoiler, SATOSHI Grille Mod, Side Step Spacers.
Then install them all. Satoshi with White/silver TOYOTA Sign
Maybe install 4 R U N N E R, from 2010+ models on rear door.
Install new Window Visors Weathertech, Sun roof Visor, Roof Rack Load warrior.
Install weather tech black fitted mats inside. With Trd shifting knobs (maybe)
Plastdip (WHITE) all emblems on exterior.
Add any STICKERS TO WINDOWS OR BODY.
EX: TRD, TR4.ORG, MOAB ( White/BLACK)
Install new, Bulky Wiper blades, BLACK License plate Bezzels. + Stock Tow hitch painted Gloss black, professionally painted, after sanded etc... ( Have the electrical kit installed before carpet, for the tow hitch.)
Cut off "plastic" parts off the bottoms of the rear wheel mud flaps.
Install BLACK or White Jerry Cans on roof rack ( 5 gal)
Install Armour on the undercarriage, (Painted Black/White) (Savage)?
Install new front or rear bumpers ( if i decide to buy them)
Install new Antenna, disconnect old one.
Install new Spare wheel
Do ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS NEEDED.
Connect Iphone to stereo with Bluetooth.
Make sure All electrical works throughout these steps.
Throw in all safety supplies, ( Jumper cables, Fluids, Tools, etc.)
Throw flashlight, insurance, drivers manual in glove box
Take to shop to get Wheels Aligned,
Extra possibilities:
Super Charger
Cool air intake
Full new exhaust
Led strip between fatlip bumper and headlights
PIAA's 4 on roof rack
Or, LED BAR on front.
Super expensive suspension Lift.
Device that tracks your Specs ( Like your MPG)
