Hey all new 3rd gen guy here! Been trolling for awhile but never posted. Its my first 4Runner! But not my first Yota. Had a Corrolla and Camry before. But mainly am i Jeep guy at heart. However i must say these 4runners seem pretty capable out of the box. Also, they have more room than the Cherokees im used to running and now that i have 2 kids its a must!

Anyways, i found a deal i couldnt pass up. Its a 2000 SR5 4x4 with 68,000 ORIGINAL MILES! Also, NO RUST! Big deal and very rare find for my area in the rust belt! Had to pay a decent chunk of change for it but think it was worth it. Let me know what you guys think. What would you guys pay for one like this? Just curious.

Looks like you guys have a great forum here and im looking forward to reading everything!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. That's crazy how low the miles are! Also happens to be one of my favorite colors on these trucks.

Nice.

And in response to your post, I'd say at least 9k. Depends on the interior and where you live. If you're up north a ways then I would add quite a bit, non-rusty vehicles pull a mega premium up there.

You guys are dead on - he was asking $9,200 and i was only able to get him down to $8,800. But most of the ones ive seen up here in Upstate NY and PA were going for this price or more with 120-150k miles and had rust! I think i did alright, just wasnt easy forking over that much for a 12 year old vehicle! lol

its worth every penny of it, and you'll get it back out if it one way or another i assure you

Great purchase! Looks super clean. And that would easily fetch 11k around here. 12-13 from a stealer. There's a ridiculously stupid premium on them in the NW. Especially ones with low miles.

Welcome to the site. You found yourself quite a rig. If you want to get rid of the fender flares let me know :hello:. As you drive it more you will find that you wont want to go back to a jeep.

Congratulations! Beautiful Runner, and the low mileage is great! You bought it at a good price too! :thumb3:

I'm sure your kids will look forward to be dropped off at school in the morning in that beauty, over that other thing you mentioned, Cherokee. Is that a canoe?

She's a beauty! Make sure you keep it rust free. There are some procedures you can take that I'm sure you are aware of. I as well came from a Cherokee, although I'm not a J**p lover at heart. I was just hurting for a vehicle and it was cheep lol. I do however enjoy seeing a nicely built jeep on the trails that's not hitting up the malls. Good luck with your truck, it should last you till A) you wreck it or 2) you give it to your kid when they turn of age and he/she wrecks it. Other than that, it will follow you to your grave!

LoL good one bud. Thats exactly one of the reasons i had to get rid of my Cherokee (XJ) too small for all 4 of us! :D

:iagree:

About the rust prevention, was going to get it undercoated. Also though about POR15 for the undercarriage but that will be time consuming. Well see. And definietly want to do something with the chrome bumpers- maybe even linex them depending on cost.
