Go with the OME and just do the pinch weld mod, you'll find the pinch weld mod by googling. You can fit decent tires with that combo.

sequoia edition. Fancy, got leather seats?

There is a lift thread at the top of the forum. Check it out, lots of ideas in there.

Sammy guy huh? Got any pics of your old sammy?

there are a few good options for the second gens. what kind of budget are you looking at? that is the biggest factor in your decision. For a tighter budget i would do the ome stuff from somebody like toytech. *NEW* Full OME Suspension '90-'95 4Runner - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits
but spend the extra 75$ and get ome torsion bars and not the ball joint spacer kit(not a big fan of adding weak points to my suspension)On one of my other runners i had the ome rear springs( 901 i believe they were) with a panhard drop kit and it was definitely more lift then 2". Probably more like 3-3 1/2".

If you got a bit more to spend i would get the ome 901 rear springs, panhard drop kit, and a pair of fox, king or sway a way 2.0 smooth body shocks for the rear. Up front i would get a torsion bar from sway a way and another set of 2.0 smooth bodys. reason for the fox, king or sway a way shock is they are completely rebuild-able with basic hand tools, u would have the ability to change the compression or rebound internally and they would be the last set of shocks you would ever need to buy for this rig.

now if you want the best and dont care about price i would have a set or chromoly links fabricated similar to the ones total chaos sells( at the bottom of the page) TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION
the same 901 ome rear springs ,panhard drop and a set of 2.5x 12" tripple bypass shocks. I ran a very similar set up and with slight modifications to the factory bump stop i was getting 14-15" of wheel travel.
for the front i would get the total chaos kit
TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION
ditch the torsion bars for 2.5x 8" coilovers and add a secondary smooth body or bypass shock

thanks
