Hi idle problems

Hava '98 4cyl 4runer.w/ hi-idle problems.Friend plug'd in analyzer shows no EFI/idle sensor faults nor wiring trbl.I removed the throttle body for boil out after install still hava Hi-idle.Any other suggestions would appreciate.

When you pulled the throttle body did you remove the IAC and clean it as well? what do you mean by "boil out"? Also, have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Sorry i didnt get bk 2u sooner. I sent the TB in for cleaning.They cleaned out TB fnd gunk buildup.I've checked all vacuum hoses hadnt yet fnd leaks yet, but its a'98 4 runr,recent eng re-built n runs strong.Eng starts quick:initially idles at 1000 rpm after 5-10 min goes to 2000 rpm.If you turn off eng very hard starting.Again friends diag tester shows no trbl .Any further suggest? Thanx

I have a 97' 2WD 3RZFE had kind of the same problem, try checking the Engine Temperature Sensor, it's toward the back of the engine under one of the hoses that come out from the rear wall. You'll need a 19mm deep socket, en extension and a wobbly connector (sorry don't know the name). I changed mine and stopped the high idling. Hope this helps.
