Hi-Lift Jack Spots

Hey all! So here's a question that has been on my mind lately.

Say I got larger tires, and my bottle jack won't reach anymore- where can I lift my rig from? I know I can lift the back from the trailer hitch hole, but what about the front passenger/driver area?

What would you do? I don't have sliders or a front bumper (right now, my tube bumper is at home while I'm in CO for a bit)

any input is appreciated!!!

Depends on how big you go. The factory bottle jack will extend up to about 19" tall, but with 33" tires and a 3" suspension lift the jack is barley able to get the wheels off the ground to be honest with you.

If you have the room, you should be able to lift off of any structurally sound area of the frame without damaging the vehicle. I would look at videos and guides on how to properly use the hi-lift, just so you're familiar with it.

Get a taller bottle jack or a floor jack.

I'd suggest carrying a block of wood or two under the Toyota bottle jack but that thing can reach pretty high. ANYTHING is better than a hi lift jack. Flame suit on. My Land cruiser is on 35s and a 4" of lift and I still use a hyd bottle jack for field tire changing or lifting up the suspension to get out of situations.

I carry a piece of 4x4 to help extend the reach and even with sliders I'll likely use that instead of the hi lift to change a tire. In my opinion, the Hi Lift is more of a recovery tool than a fix it tool. Too many opportunities for things to shift or move while you're under it or have a tire off. That said, I still plan on carrying a hi lift and will have as many proper attachments for the situations as possible to make it as safe as I can to use.
