The tires will wear out. The brakes too. The windshield wipers will need replacing. The oil and filters only last 10k miles. The windshield will probably get some rock chips, along with the hood. You will probably get a few scratches as well.

Hu? I came here for brains because I do not have any when it comes to 4runners and now you want to put us on equal terms. Your really scaring me on a number of levels.

Let me ask the question again a different way, perhaps this will help. What parts are potentially going to be broken when I get a 2010-2014 within the first year bouncing down the highway?

I'm just joshin'. I've yet to be disappointed with my nearly stock LE. Granted it has A-TRAC and after market A/Ts, its held up extremely well against formidable obstacles and has either; kept up with or outperformed better equipped rigs.

3 years old w/ 43k+ miles (barely broken in). 98% pavement, 2% off. I've had no problems so far. That could be the product of good upkeeping and regular maintenance but I'm sure a lot is attributed to quality production. Sure Toyota has fallen off some but engine, suspension and transmission build has not been sacrificed.

Keep in mind that what we say isn't going to make your decision any easier if you don't do your due diligence first.
