Ordered the 5000k kit for my '07 (only two weeks old and the modding has begun...) Just installed the 5000k kit in my '97.
I may end up uninstalling them...waayy too much glare.
Anyone know if switching out the headlamp assemblies to an 00 - 01 (clear non-fluted lens) would make a difference? It looks like the fluted lens on my '97 is causing too much refraction.

glare. any reflector housing which are made for halogen, if you put in hid kit, there's always glare no matter what type of lens you have, as long as it is a halogen reflector, glare is created.
good thing 06+ projectors are taking hid kit good, but still have to cover the squirrel finders to eliminate the excessive glare above the cutoff line.

Lots of times, it's just for fun. And sometimes there's a actual purpose behind it. Like when I want to make a right turn on a red, but someone in front of me is blocking. With a regular passanger car, I would have to wait till they vacate. But w/ my truck, I just hop the right two wheels onto the curb haha.
I do sidewalk off-roading all the chance I get. Once at Home Depot...I didn't want to exit correctly at the parking lot, So I just straight up hopped the curb, all 4 wheels went over the curb. Funny part...I did it next to a bus stop & the people were like WTH.
how often do you hop curb returns and sidewalks?
i dont want to sound like mommy dearest here but it seems that jumping curbs would help contribute to dirty looking sidewalks, chip corners/edges of curb returns and potentially damage some nicer designed sidewalks that use tile and whatnot for aesthetic appeal to make your city look nice. just a thought. continue on sidewalk soldier

Nah, where he lives, the curbs aren't great nor are they fancy. Many of the curbs are in despair. Some have this metal edge and the ends end up slashing sideways if you're not careful. Other cities, have no curb, it's just like a long drive way all the way. Just about everyone (except me) with a truck will run over the curb when they parallel park--eliminates the need to backup or curb the wheels.

does anyone make a projector for a 99 that doesn't look horrible? Id love to get some lights with some good high output, so id love to go HID (a kit appx 4300k i don't want it to be that blue).
