HID conversion & Xenon Depot

05 retrofit

So let me get this straight. If I wanted HID crispy white lights in my 05 sport, I would need to get a retrofit to projectors, and then install a HID kit from Xenon Depot? Is that high, low, and DRL all bundled into one?

I saw those BMW style angel eyes kits as well. I would say that's a close second. Does Xenon Depot sell a retro fit projector kit, and HID bundle? Coming home from Iraq in 2 weeks and I can't wait to start the modding :P

HIDs will give you a whiter and brighter light output assuming you're going with a 4300k kit.

Retrofitting projectors will give you the correct and proper beam pattern for HIDs. The reason is Halogen reflectors and projectors are frowned upon for HIDs is the beam pattern usually produces stray light, the squirrel finders, resulting in glare. Additionally, HID projectors give you the clean and sharp cut off. It is completely pitch black above the cut off.

No, switching to HID makes no changes to your lighting setup. If you replace your low beam with HID, the highbeam and DRL will remain untouched. The 4Runner doesn't combine DRL, high beam and low beam together. The only thing is you probably don't want to flash your highbeams often, because it puts extra stress on the HID components because the low beams come on when the highbeams are on. It's best to treat HID like a flourescent light at your house (once they're turned on, you want them on for a good while).

Clock Reset

I recently installed a kit from Xenon Depot. When i get in my runner in the morning the clock has reset and the windows have lost the memory function. I still have my presets on my radio but it appears that I am losing just enough power to make the clock and windows reset. What could be causing this problem?

Thanks--

This an old Quote, but I just started to leave my lights on auto and have noticed the same thing; clock resets all the time. Any one else seeing this issue and have a resolution to it?
