HID Group Buy: Who's in??

Don't want to intrude on this thread, but has anyone ever had a problem with the H11 kit from Gothid? I got mine Monday (ordered before talk of group buy) and tried to install that night. I say tried because the tines (prongs) that allow the bulb to fit into the socket were too big and the bulbs wouldn't fit in my 08... I compared them closely with the stock H11's, and thats when I found out that they were different sizes. I e-mailed gothid (monday nite), but have heard NO response from them... Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

And yes, before anyone asks, I DID remove the clear plastic shipping ring.

I sent my money yesterday. I hope the 3000k that I ordered are good for fogs. Has anybody used these, and if so, are they any good?
 
Looks like everyone is paid up so shipping can start. I asked him to let me know if someone has not paid. So I can let him know to ship to those who have payed.

anyone else with a 06-08 actually order from these guys before? got me a bit worried.
 
HID Group Buy

count me in.....:awais: hope that I'm not late. Is there a code or something that I have to put on a NOTE, aside from putting that I heard of this from a Group Buy?

There are no 3000k available for fogs, only something called "xtreme yellow" or something like that

I was going to order the 3000k but upon hearing that there were none I decided to stick with my current yellow fogs

But to answer the question, yellow fogs work great in the fog/rain and from what I hear snow as well

I believe that Fo_SheeZy used a kit from this with no problems, so I am hoping for an experience like his rather than yours.

Still no email back from them?
 
Xtreme Yellows, aka 3000k are a part of the groupbuy.

There are no wiring harness included though. It's an additional $25.

There is no relay harness in the single beam kit , only dual beam as described in the website . IF you need it costs only $25.
Let your guys know about it ,if they need the relay harness. We will be starting to ship as soon as we get those 27 kits.

Sorry for the dumb question, but i'm new to all this.
this means that if i have a stock '05 runner and want to replace the headlights to hid, i am going to need one of these wiring harnesses?

the website says

"This kit will include:

* 2 x HID Bulbs with wire plug
* 2 x regular Ballasts
* 2 x Secure Mounting Brackets
* 4 x Zip ties
* All necessary wires and accessories
* User Manual
* Warranty Certificate"

Is anything else needed?

What? I thought everything we needed came in this kit. I'm not liking the sounds of this. Can someone please explain what's going on here!

Personally, I recommend the wiring harness. HIDs operate at 35w, which is much lower than the 55w that Halogens operate at. However, the initial power draw of HIDs when turning them on is much greater than 55w. The concern mainly lies how much of that extra power draw can the factory wiring harness stand up to and if it will fry those wires.

The wiring harness includes hook up to the battery, fuse(s), relay(s) and connector(s) to the factory headlight wiring. What the harness does is power is drawn directly from the battery. No additional power is drawn from the factory headlight wiring--keeping the factory wiring safe from overload and being fried. It's merely used to activate the relay and power is drawn from the battery connections.

Some will argue that a wiring harness is not neccessary. It becomes do I want to spend $25 for a wiring harness now or possibly spend more than $25 to replace factory wiring down the line.

Thanks, but i cant seem to find the harness on the gothidkit website.
