HID Group Buy: Who's in??

I think that it is absurd that they are getting upset over us "bashing" their products when they are selling something that they know will not work.

In my email to them they told me how they knew about it and it was a simple fix. Clearly, you should not be sending out products that you know have a "little flaw in the design" as they put it.

They also sent me two so now even if I try to make the alterations so that I can get it to work I still have to go and ship the other package back to them.

Ugh.

Well this sure looks like a nightmare.

Now Im scared to ever buy HID's.

FoSheezy, when you get sick of yours, which will be next week, go ahead ship them to me.

Do not pay them the $10, what they told you is a lie.

For some reason they emailed the list with everyone's information to prove a point to me or something, and seeing you are from Chicago, Il I assume you are Edwin.

They have you on the list for 6000k, George made no mistake it was them. They owe you the new kit and you shouldn't pay a thing.
 
Blair, anyway you could take a picture comparing your H11 HID bulb to the halogen H11.... I'm just curious to see the difference?

Ah man, I love mine! Couldn't be happier, sorry that everyone else is having problems though.

I actually can not because the light doesnt fit in the housing and i was afraid to mess with it until now and the now bigger problem is that where you attach the stock wire to the ballast it wont snap in and all it would take would be a bump in the road to turn my lights off :bash:

With all the night driving and off roading I do that would not be too good....
 
lol.. what I meant was hold the bulbs up side by side out of the housing. So I could see how the HID bulb compares to the halogen. I should have made myself more clear.

Actually I am at school right now and I left those HID's at my parents b/c I was way too frustrated with them haha but I could do it in the next week or so.

Thanks for including me in your e-mail to them, I do appreciate it. They don't know who I am...thats very funny, I have "contacted" them repeatedly, to no avail, and since they have no phone #, its not very easy. From the sounds of this, this is a fly-by-night organization, run by god knows who. I think anyone will be VERY VERY lucky to get anything back from them. I have one of the partners in my firm looking into this, to see if there is any possible legal action we could take, I have also reported them to the BBB.

EDIT** I just realized that I used PayPAl to pay this bogus Co, so I have now also filed a dispute with them (in the past, PayPal is usually VERY good at getting your money back for you). I would suggest the rest of you who paid with paypal do the same. Make sure you go into the dispute after you open it, and then escalate it to a claim, that gets PP directly involved.

Wow, you guys are ready to start a claim with the Beter Business Bureau and I haven't even recieved my kit yet.

It does sound like we are in the middle of a rip off, but maybe wait a week for everyone to have the chance to recieve the kit and attempt an install.

i ordered the same kit and the guy from gothid told me there shipment was stuck in customs and they did not know when it would be out.
 
Fuzion, maybe you could have Alex from GotHID, come register at T4R.org and start posting to answer some questions because obviously there are a lot of unhappy customers.

I installed the 9006 fog last night. Bulb fit fine.The only problem was the wiring(supplied with the kit) that goes from the OEM connector to the ballast, it was reversed, (neg to pos, pos to neg)
couldn't get it to light up at first. so now if I want the connector to snap in, I'll have to change wire around. No big deal. The only thing left is getting the refund for the wiring harness that I thought was needed.

Ok, yeah, that makes sense, lets not take into account that 4-6 people on this board have gotten products from them that are crap and don't work.... Lets wait til the rest of the people here get theirs to see if they fit...

Id say that rough numbers = 40% of the kits don't fit and are crap

And lets not forget about the people who have gotten nothing, and/or the wrong thing.

And of course, the absolute load of BS from Gothidkit.com's customer service...

But your right, maybe I am jumping the gun.
