Id say that rough numbers = 40% of the kits don't fit and are crap

And lets not forget about the people who have gotten nothing, and/or the wrong thing.

And of course, the absolute load of BS from Gothidkit.com's customer service...

I understand your frustration and I'm sorry if I have offended you, but at this point, we don't know the conclusion of this mess, whether the vendor will return your money or what will happen. The organizer of this group need to put an end to this. Its not going to help when 6 people are doing 6 different things to get there money back, appoint a key person to handle this mess. He then communicates to you all and consults or ask for your input.

I just got a reply e-mail from GotHIDkit.com. Apparently the BBB and Paypal reports make them reply to ppl. I will quote their e-mail...

"Well sir,
Taking to the fact the we miss sometimes some emails and some go to our
junk email we are here to repare whatever problem is preventing you from
using our kit.
H11 sometimes is tricky to fit , you either have to shave it off a little
bit the flanges for fitting or you need to use the rubber ring the comes
in your original halogen bulb and put in the HID bulb.
If you didnt use the product if it still in perfect condition you can
return for a refund minus $10 shipping fee."

Yeah, they don't always fit, sometimes you have to modify the product. That means its a piece of CRAP. Plug and play means no modification required for fitment, but I guess that got lost in translation.

Just so everyone sees what they are like...

I had a feeling this would happen for $75 per kit. Then when Blair texted me telling me that they did not fit, I knew they would all have the same problem. Good luck getting everything sorted out, I suggest just paying the extra $$ in the future for a better quality HID kit. Preferably from someone with a good reputation such as XenonDepot.

Also, is that the response from the company? Any reason why they no speak the English good?

I have been talking to them briefly, but they are idiots and trying to play it off like it is nothing and typical for an HID kit.

As for the English bit, you should see some of the quick emails they sent me, it is absurd.
 
Hi,

We have sold many members on this board our h11 kit and they do not require any trimming what so ever. We advertise on another forum in which another vendor was selling HID kits that are made in China and he had the same problem with H11 bulbs.

Our bulbs do not require modifications. The other thing you should look into is how does it work in terms of warranty if you modify the bulb. If in 6 months the bulb goes out and you need warranty will you be covered even though you modified the bulb?

This was another problem that some members faced.

Thats BS. When I installed my H11, I had no problems fitting them in!
 
When of my foglight HID's are going out. I'm guessing the ballast aren't water proof because it's flickering on and off. I had to mount the ballast on the plastic at the bottom and they are getting drenched, guess I'll have to upgrade...

I ordered a new kit from Retro Solutions, and could NOT BE HAPPIER. Only cost me $160 too....

As for Fo_SheeZy's fog lights going out... All I have to say is Uh-ohh for the people who's kits did fit.

It looks like we all got duped, pretty badly too!

I need to know there address, i have to send the package back to them, i already talked with the paypal resolution center, alex said i can send the package back and will give me a full refund but they wont give me there address..
Can somebody pls post there address here?? thanx!

They are refusing to take mine back at all, seeing as one of the little tabs snapped off when I tried to install it, mainly due to lack of proper fitment as well as the brittleness of the material used to make these lights. I am still arguing with paypal about it.

I think Fuzion or whoever put this together should gather all of your concerns and handle this. Paypal usually refunds you all of that money. I made sure I used my amex when purchasing through paypal, if the kit is messed up, Amex will refund me all money, no questions asked, then paypal and gothid can deal with each other

Mine is on the way, I'm worried

I don't know what they told paypal, but I just got an e-mail from PP saying that "

Dear ,

You have chosen to escalate your dispute to a PayPal claim. By ending
communication with the seller, you are asking PayPal to investigate the
case and decide the outcome. As part of our investigation, PayPal reviewed
any communication you may have had in the Resolution Center.

Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund. "

What a bunch of BS...time to call the CC company.

Hey I mounted my Fog ballast way up under the regular head light housing. It is a pain to get to, but I want to make sure they stayed as dry as possible. The problem with mounting them low is the fender has holes that dump the water straight down to the right below the fog housing.

You could try that and hopefully it will help. Knock on wood, I still have not had any problems.
 
I feel that with all the dust dirt and mud from all my offroading (not to mention water crossings) those ballasts would have no chance...
