If their system is not going to work anyway why not just ask for a refund before they ship it?

Perhaps, if you knew what I ordered and what I intend to do with this retrofit, you would better be able to reply. Some of us may consider you for hid's in the future, but I would prefer if you continue to provide informative posts rather than some of the later ones offering little assistance. I ordered an H3 kit to retro a set of PIAA 510's, which will be installed into my winch bumper.

Eventually I will put projectors into the headlights of my truck and will need a high quality part.

Sorry for the delay answering your email. Our major warehouse was affected
by hurricane IKE in Houston Texas causing delays in shipping and exchange.
At this present time we have no power and we are trying to ship all orders

Upgrade to some waterproof ballast and you'll be fine. My usually start working again once it dries up.
 
How many people are still waiting on their kit to arrive or has everyone that has ordered been able to either get their kit or recover their funds?

I just got my kit, the bulb is too long.

Steve, I am trying to do a retrofit on a set of PIAA fog lights. It calls for an H3 bulb which is short. Is there an HID equivalent bulb? The one I got is waaaaaaaay to long.

Sounds like you need something like a H3C or H3 short bulb type

I already talked to Steve about retrofitting my 4 KC Slimlites with HID's and he was very helpful.
 
As far as the ballast getting wet and having to wait for them to dry out before it works again, that's nonsense. I've hosed down my ballasts when I hose down the engine bay and have no ill effect of the HIDs not firing up. IMO, that's the difference in quality. No electrical component intended for an exterior environment should have its functionality depend on weather conditions.

Imagine if a car only runs when it's dry... I'm certain an owner of such a vehicle would be pissed and cussing like a trucker. Your vehicle doesn't behave that way neither should your HIDs.

Agreed, but hey I paid the cheap price so I get the cheap product, you know? It hardly ever rains here anyways, haha. :bigok:

Fuzion, would you mind posting pics of installation for your low beams. I ordered the qb kit from gothid but I have no clue how to install it. All I can find over the forum/net is xenondepot installations. I would greatly appreciate it if you could post pics of the install. PS what year is your runner?
 
So I finally have a problem with these lights!

They have worked great, fit ok since I got them. My passenger side fog light is acting a little funky. It will come on when the truck starts stay on for a lil while then go out. I t can then randomly come back on. It has been happening for about 3 months. There doesnt seem to be a loose connection and I assume if it was the bulb it would be a complete fail.

Any idea's?
 
Are your ballasts attached securely. I would disconnect and reconnect everything. If worse comes to worse I think the lights have a year warranty.
