HID Headlights.

I have a 2003 4Runner V8.... and I want HID headlights.. (Low beam).. so my question(s) are,
Good site to buy them?
How hard are they to install (I can do it my self, but if I didn't know jack, could I do it?)
Do I need/ half to do anything to the connectors/ lens/ body?
Will it melt the plastic that the actual headlight cover is made out of?

Any other things I will need to know would be awesome, I've never installed HID's but have always wanted them. Please let me know & send some links if you know some good ones! :zoom:

do a retrofit, u get better results. on the plug and play thing, get it off ebay, but stay away from xentec brand, u will need a 9006 kit, get a 4300k or 6000k. also on the install, u will need to reverse the wire on the pigtail.

Agreed. Retro is the way to go. Plug n Play kits WILL cause glare and blind oncoming cars. Save up! BUT, if you insist, get some moderately priced projectors and put the HID in them (at least you won't be blinding as much). Once you go retro, you NEVER go back!!

morimoto mini h1 from The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications is the easiest projector to retrofit in the housing of 03-05. for 06-09 use the quick retro package as it comes with the d2s versions projector.
