If you want more light output, get a 4300K kit, 6000K is too blue and loses light output
thank you everyone for your input.
so it seems 4300 to no more than 5000k output is the way to go.
as nice as HIR's may be, i think i may stick with just upgrading the halogen bulbs so that i do not have to do any sort of modification.
how do the sylvania silverstars compare to the phillips crystal and ultravision?

it seems that most people do not prefer silverstars because they dont seem to last very long.
i found a thread with some information on the phillips crystalvision ultra 4000k and they seem decent.
has anyone heard of Osram Rallye 65w H7 bulbs?
sorry for being such a complete novice at this.
so if i decide to go the HIR route and do the simple modification to make them fit, what brand/bulb should i go with?
Hate to resurrect and older post, but I wish I had found this during my HID research. I ordered 6k lights and just got them delivered. Waiting to get time to install. sounds like I may be ordering the lower bulbs. #$@!
Yeah ^ That's why manufacturers tend to use 4300k on their new vehicles..
So yeah, 4300-4500 I'd say, you are golden.. Pretty much, Anything more and you'll start looking like a Ricer.. No offense.. As some people Love the way 8k-10k looks..
Lol 5000k bulbs do not make you look like a ricer.
