HID kit help (DDM)

They look great! I'll be taking pictures this evening to show the improvement.

I just called the company and they told me with Bi-Xenons, the Daytime Running Lights will not work, so you have to disconnect them.
 
just read an update on DDM. So i guess the issue is since aftermarket HID kits are "tecnicly" illegal the government or someone is going after the source (the shops) and apparenty they are having problems getting these kits imported to the US from China now. there are a bunch of legal issues going down over there i guess, i dont have much time to post it now but if you guys are interested ill post the story. when i get a chance

yeah I read something along those lines on their facebook page. My order has still not arrived though, even though I am supposedly next to ship since I am within those order no.'s on the right of their webpage.
 
Well I finally got ahold of someone today, canceled my order.

Funny thing is she said I could upgrade to the slim kit for another 10 $ and said she had those in stock. ?

I said no thanks though after getting just a taste of what their customer service is like.
 
DDM Tuning Your order got locked for some reason. Doesn't show anyone touched it. I've put it on the schedule for tomorrow morning. It WILL ship tomorrow. Thank you for following up.

verbatim...from their facebook page...these guys man! sheeesh! how are they going to withdraw funds from my checking and still get my order locked! well atleast they are going to ship tomorrow...so I guess I'll have them by next week
 
So I just installed my DDM Tuning HID kit I got off Scotty and when I turned the lights on the drivers side would not come on. I checked all the connections and nothing. So I replaced it with a different ballast and now they both work. Is it bad to have two different ballasts hooked up?
 
I tested out my lights tonight. It is possible to flash the high beams with the lights off. I would not suggest doing this though. I don't think it's good for the bulbs.
 
yeah i would think its bad too. do you guys know if the alarm goes of the headlights flash as well? cause im sure this can be good either
 
rookie question here.... Just purchased a set of DDM tuning H4/9003 8000k HID replacement bulbs thinking I could just swap out my silverstar bulbs...but doesn't seem that way. Should i have purchased the "HID kit"? The pic below is what I recieved. Any help would be apprieated!!

so i was running 55w bi xenon 6000k HID's for a while and loved them, but after a couple weeks they would only work here and there,,,,then finally stopped, so i had to go back to SilverStars, I heard its because the factory wiring isnt made for a 55w bulb...?? is this true, or could it be possible just be a crapy set of HID's? any thoughts or experience with 55W Thanks
 
No they were not DDM they were xentec, and yes tried new bulbs and ballast but didn't work, so that's why I wasn't sure If I just bought a crappy brand or If it was actually the factory wiring that was causing this problem, I wonder if DDM's would work

I don't think it would be the wiring, but I'm not positive. That is a weird problem.

Do they have a relay on them? Maybe they aren't getting all the power they need.
 
I have 2009 4runner that I purchased recently and decided to upgrade to HID. I purchase DDM slim kit with 5000k bulbs. For some odd reason, one bulb has more yellow hue than the other. Does anyone else have the same problem?
 
How long have you had them? I've read that they take a little while to "break in".

But it is very possible that they sent you two different bulbs. I'd just email them.

Do you have a picture?
