HID Lights. Yes or No?

Before I had my 4runner, I drove a Mustang. Tons of guys in the Mustang community ran these kits, never once heard them complain on the temp being off. I just know some people have pointed out a couple articles about them using false advertisement, labeling 4300k as 5000k for sales. I don't know that this was ever proven, but know they were accused of it. That's the ONLY negative I've heard of on the ddm kits. I've known a couple who had to use the warranty, service seems about on par with anywhere else.

Zstampe... do you like your fogs that color? I get a decent amount of fog throughout the year and was thinking that this color would help with both seeing and being seen.

I love them. They help tremendously in snow/rain/fog. Im sure the 4300k fog lights would be good too but I like the 3000k yellow. Plus they look different than what most people are running.

How do you think the LED bulb fogs would perform? Would they project like OEM?

I dont know, i've wondered the same thing myself, if I had to guess they would be as bright.

The leds won't project. They aren't nearly bright enough.

Read this before you jump on the HID bandwagon. There's lots of science behind lights.

retrofit some hid prpjectors, u get better results, wider spread of light with no glare, better performance.

I hate all the hid in halogen projectors naysayers here........ The halogen projectors will work fine and he will be out maybe 50 bucks. I agree that a retrofit is better but a lot of us don't want to drop hundreds of bucks on headlights.

If you can HONESTLY tell me that halogen is brighter than this and this has glare feel free to voice your opinion.

I absolutely love mine, I have an '06 SR5 and have HID's on the low beams as well as fogs, the really make a difference as visibility is much better in my opinion. I went with the 6000k color on mine and they look great and were super easy to install. Hope this helps.

actually south of Birmingham, in Mcalla, and mine is natural white, not silver, btw the stickers i got from you look great on my 4R!

Ahh, that's right. I had seen a 4th gen Silver on Valleydale Road one day and it had HID's for lows and fogs.

If I got the 5000's for my lows and fogs will I need a relay harness? I also have a 2003 and would rather get it right the first time around.

I've got the 55w 5000k hid kit in my Volvo v70 1998 wagon. Very easy to connect . Mine are from SharpHid but they are the same as the Ddmtuning but their bulbs are lifetime guaranteed, whereas DDMs are not. my kit was $59. I'm seriously thinking to do my low beam and maybe fogs on my 2008 4tr. As for longevity no probs with my bulbs. Had them in for 18 months so

don't see why you would need a harness i went strictly plug and play with the kits i bought and have had no problems whatsoever, some say the harnesses are good to prevent flickering and i can see that but I have yet to have a problem with flickering on mine. Hope this helps.

What does the harness actually do? Sorry, i am sure I could dig around on their site, but you guys have already been through this you would know......plus I am juggling my work, trying to download books to my kid's Leap Frog and 10 other things.....lol. Thanks for the help!:hatsoff:

Hey this is my first post so here it goes: I have an 2006 Sport and can't decide whether or not to get an HID kit. On everyone else's car they look awesome (especially the blue) but I've just heard so many pro's and con's. I live in Utah and I'm in a lot of snow fall, I go camping constantly so I need bright lights for my path, and I just want some awesome lights. So is it a Yes or a No?

Definitely YES. I went with Extreme HID in 5000k from www.kbcarstuff.com. Huge improvement over OEM.

Yes it will
