HID question

Hi,

I am ready to order HID kit for both LOW beam and FOG lights from DDMTuning but cant find clear answer from searching.

1. Is it adviseable and legal to install HID kit to my existing Stock Headlight & Fog light Housing? I have a 2007 4runner SR5. Not sure if the stock headlight housing is a projector housing.

2. How many members here installed HID kit on the stock headlight/fog light housing? Any issues?

Appreciate any comments. Thank you.

I installed the DDM kit in my 2008. The only thing cheesy is that they don't give you a male connector on their kit to plug into the factory harness. I found a site selling H11 connectors and wired one up instead of shoving their little spade plugs into the factory connector. Also since the 35w kit means only about 3amps, about the same as the standard bulbs, I didn't use a relay. Working great.

I am running 9006 clear view bulbs in both my low and fog lights with no problems now.

I was planning to order H11 for the low beam. Are you saying low beams can fit 9006 better?

I know the fogs are 9006.

Please clarify. Thanks.

BTW - thanks for all the feedbacks. I have ordered HID kits fromm ddmtuning and used on my last 2 BMW E30's.

Here's my sweet step down cutoff and a shot of my 5000k's
