HID Retrofit - DRL Question ('00 SR5)

So i'm doing a retrofit with FRX projectors and planing to put in switchback DRL's. So what do I need to do with the DRL system??

I've done a bit of reading and it sounds like i want to cut the Black/Yellow wire, then patch that into the LED's??

if someone can confirm this theory, or correct my mistake before

this is for a 2000 SR5
