My 1999 is sitting at 436,000. Aside from maintenance, the only repairs I've made so far are a bad fuel injector 2 years ago, fuel pump last year, and a fan clutch about 6 year ago.

Dang I thought my 99 had some high miles. I rolled 383k a few weeks ago. Time for Valve Cover gaskets and some major maitnenence, but she's still running strong.
My 99 Land Cruiser has 204k on it last time I looked. You just can't kill these things if you take care of them.

nearly 260k on my 91' 3.0L. I just put 10k on her with a trip to Alaska last year when she was nearly at 250k, and she performed as good and better than my expectations.

Just hit 190k miles on my 06 SR5. Unfortunately had a valve stuck open and flood the #1 cylinder. Got that fixed and a week later check engine and several VSC lights came on. Looks to be a cat converter issue requiring a new exhaust manifold. Lights went off for several days but back on this afternoon.
Worst part is the fix could cost $800 - $2k, depending on if any bolts break when they change the manifold. Love this car.
Everyone is telling me I need to get rid of it but I’m thinking of just getting a new commuter car and keeping it around. Only repairs so far have been regular maintenance (new front axles at 130k to replace CV boots and new shocks/struts at 160k).
It’s probably like asking an alcoholic if I should stop drinking, but someone tell me it’s no big deal and I need to keep it! Haha

Depending on the state you live in and if they have vehicle inspections..but you could most likely put an extender on the O2 sensor and get the codes to stop coming back, instead of replacing the converter, plenty of topics and or posts in the 4th gen section on the O2 extenders, several different ways to do it, some use spark plugs extenders and other user several different ones made just for the O2 sensors, with most of them it will not pass state inspections if they look under at the O2 sensor, but if they don't look it will past the inspection if they don't actually test the exhaust emissions.
The one in this topic seems to be the best I have ever seen, no way to detect it from a visual inspection, but not sure where to source it since I think the OP got it from another forum member and or no source info provided.

Glad to see that some are hitting 400k, my 99 just hit 345k engine was replaced around 235k but everything else is original minus the alternator and starter that went out last year. My 2003 which I got last year from a friend just hit 265k and still have 90% of the stuff still original including the starter the alternator was replaced last year and I just replaced the front lower control arms.
