high pitch whining noise at 65 mph.

Hello. I'm new to the forums. I have a 1992 4runner that I just recently bought. My main problem is the high pitched whining noise I hear coming from inside the engine compartment. When I hit 60 mph I hear a very loud whining noise. Once I hit 75mph it dies down a little but is still very loud. When I let off the gas it goes away so I don't think its a wheel bearing issue. Any thoughts? Anyone else ever had the same problem? Is it a lose belt?

Not being there to hear it makes it hard to diagnose.
If u can provide any more info it might help.

Is it only when you have your foot on the gas ?
Does it go away when you let off ?
Does it go away if you shift to neutral ?

Stuff like that.

Yes, in my experience, bearings usually make more of a humming/buzzing noise than a high pitch noise.
