Make sure you make it clear to the dealer that you care about rust. Unless it's a death trap, most people don't really care, and as such a tech will assume it doesn't matter to you.

My first impression is that someone sprayed it recently as well, hard to tell if it was to cover up some major rust or just to stop surface rust at the point it was done.
Make sure when they inspect it they poke hard at any suspected area with a large screwdriver to test how solid the areas truely are.
I also recommend checking radiator support and power steering and transmission lines if equipted with an additonal transmission cooler under the support for major rust, the radiator support is one of the first areas to be affected from major rust, if it looks bad those fluid lines will also be not far from needing replacing.

My 2005 Sport (got it 2 weeks ago) has 166K. I put a new water pump in it (for my peace of mind, not because the old one was bad yet) and had the evap coil and freon done (it's 104 F in TX today), but otherwise it's in pretty amazing condition. Definitely hoping to put another couple K on it before we look at major replacements.

My 2004 Sport has 184k on it, they are all from my wife. Just had to replace head gaskets and 4WD actuator. I think I am set for another 100k+.
This is now my daily driver, going to let the Tundra take a little break. I’ll hit the new member topic later.

Those of you with high mileage 2UZ trucks, is this thing worth what he's asking? It has a ton of aftermarket goodies, but it has the dreaded leaky exhaust manifold that I would have to fix.

That's a great price in Seattle. But an Indiana truck?! Ha! I grew up there, I'm there right now, it's hot as hell!
The rust that has to be on that would probably make you cry. Indiana sure loves salt.
I don't care what anyone says, assume the previous owner is a dipshit and check everything. Take a hammer and tap the frame to see if there rust is just painted over.
My 03 with arb bumper, full old man emu lift, rock sliders, new sound system, new engine peripherals, new cv's, new fluids (literally all fluids, except power steering for now) has taken about $20k from me and I have done all the work myself. If I paid somebody to do it, easily a $25k truck.
My exhaust is fine... Never heard of this issue until today.

my 04 just hit 240,000miles today so I’m posting it up! Had a replaced head gasket and break booster but other then that regular oil changes and fluids and she is good to go!

Center control absorber for XREAS maybe? And to your point on the east of the Rockies line, agreed.
On a pre-purchase inspection, we found significantly more rust that was not in the original pictures, especially under the radiator. No holes that the mechanic could see, but significant scaling covered by that undercoating so I passed. $100 well spent hopefully.
