I was feeling like an upgrade to a 5th gen recently as my 4th has close to 140K on her. After reading this post however, I feel like my rig still has lots of life left in her. I’m replacing a torn drivers side CV axle and both wheel bearings tomorrow. She should be good for a while.

I scanned this thread more than 2 years ago before buying a 2007 SR5 4WD with 3rd row with close to 200k miles. Almost 50k later and still no issues and towing a 5k lb travel trailer, I’m grateful to all of you high milers for inspiring me to take the risk. Flawlessly rolling along

Parted ways with my 220k '04 today. Going to knock on wood that my 5th gen experience mirrors it but I never once had a major repair that wasn't my idea.

2005 Sport V8 and just rolled over 180k miles. Sadly, and full disclosure, only 2000 of those miles were put on by me

262k just replaced the intermediate steering shaft and collar where it connects to the steering wheel. Only thing making ware noises are the climate control actuators.

I puchased my 03 4runner at 220,000. It now has 393,000 and still going strong.
Does have some issues. The exhaust manifolds leak and it makes the ticking noise like bad valves would make.
My question for anyone right now is bleeding the front brakes. I did the rear brakes by tuning on the key letting the pump come up to pressure, pumping the heck out of it and holding it to the floor and opening the bleeder valve. That was successful. Is it the same for the fronts? I cant find anything about that.

Hit 300,000 miles a few days ago on my 2003.

One year to the day after crossing 300,000 miles, I'm now at 322,647.

Nothing out of the ordinary maintenance-wise the past 12 months: oil changes, air filters, tire rotations, headlight bulbs, new battery, and driver's side DRL/blinker socket and bulb.

What preventative maintenance intervals did you do to get it that high? I'm closing in on 200k and wondering what I should address.
