2005 SR5 4X4 V6 with 216K
Runs like a dream. I've only owned it a year but have done a lot to it. Most recently I had new wheels and AT tires installed.
The things I've done that have made the most noticeable improvement were replacing the engine idler pulleys which stopped a nasty whine coming from the engine bay and simply greasing the driveshaft which hadn't been done in a while judging from the harsh transition into reverse and drive.
I've done plenty more to it but it's either been cosmetic or just gave me peace of mind. It's still a bit early to say but the new tires are also a noticeable improvement compared to the tires I purchased the vehicle with.
Next changes are a full suspension upgrade and lift (replacing the OEM suspension 15 years later!) and new rock sliders and skid plates.
I plan on running her until I can buy a 2020 Land Cruiser for the same price I paid for my 4Runner

you running wheel spacers on this? I have the same model (07 V8 173k miles) with the 18" limited rims and thinking about spacers. Yours looks great!

I have a 2004 Limited with the V8 and it has over 200,000 miles on it and no issues with the OEM manifolds, to my knowledge and all record I have from the previous owner the manifolds have never been replaced.
It has spend it's entire life in central Florida and then a year or less in southern Georgia and now for the last 3 1/2 years in southern South Carolina.

I got the Pacesetter exhaust manifolds, which made my T4R sound brand new. Then I put a full Magnaflow exhaust on, and now it’s loud again.
My “low mileage” 2004 V8 Limited 4WD only has 178k miles on it. It’s just getting broken in, according to one mechanic.

My 04 V8 sport is still cruising along at 218k.
Couple of notes though..
I have A fairly noticeable clunk every once in a while driving out of a stop sign or red light. I’ve greased all the zerks along the drivetrain and that hasn’t seemed to help much.
The transfer case seal also started to leak, didn’t feel like paying 1500+ for someone to replace the $2 seal so I had an outer silicon seal put around it and that’s held for ~3yrs now

What’s wrong with your transfer case?
It's always funny to me when people see people like us buying cars that are 13 years old with 156k miles on them. Yes, it's not new and it's not low mileage. Then you get on this thread and show some of those people and it's like oh...7/10 people on here have runners that have 225k+ on them. And their 2013 Ford focus is vued at 3k any way...2007 SR5 v6 157,673

I'm helping someone buy their first car. They don't want anything special just something with "low miles and kinda new (20-teens and up)". Looking through dealer classifieds and if they see something that has 80k or higher, they instantly assume that it's ready to fall apart. I tell them: "well, my 4Runner has 163k," and they're just shocked. Then I say "I bought it with 156k" and then it's even more shocking because I actually bought it like that. 2006, fully loaded (nav, JBL speakers w/sub, memory leather seats etc.) V8 Limited 4WD with a rebuilt title and still worth over $10k. Got it for $9800. Runs like a charm and is very comfortable despite the (likely) blown out, soggy, body-roll-happy XREAS and clunky rear suspension (bushings, I assume).
Currently piecing together a 3/2 Bilstein lift (6112/5160), UCAs & bushing/link refresh with 33s on 17x9 Pro Comps. Can't wait.
Oh, and then I tell them my '03 M3 has 212k miles and still purrs (although, it has a slight 'VANOS knock' but this is the wrong forum for that..). I always say to them: "mileage only matters when the car has not been properly taken care of"
