Interesting set up, not my idea of what one should do to it, so it would need a front bumper and lift, but lots of potential for the right buyer if they can get over the RHD, it's a multi mode 1997 HILUX surf SSR-G e-locker 81,000miles for 13,600 CAD$ With swing out, has the altimeter as well, just putting it out there if anyone's interested

Similar price range will get you a diesel with a 5 speed, would be a 95 or older in the US though

Pretty nice, I assumed it's gas, not familiar with JDM Hilux Surfs line up, cloth interior, I assume no gear position indicator on the cluster, old style auto climate, reflective markers on the corners & front bumper gotta go, rims we can work with can't tell size, and I assume it's a RHD dealer by the background. But either way nice bones for someone -RHD...

I concider the previous 4R gens a different beast JDM or USDM, and really the 5vz-Fe will out do the diesel from what we've seen here in all respects except the pump by a few MPG's

Looks good but needs proper coil springs to get it back to a ride height befitting a 4runner and not a stanced out ricer. And lose that body kit bumper while you're at it.. Keep in mind that this price is not including taxes (which here in BC are high) and the dealer fee that's about $400. So you're pushing about 16000-17000 CAD all in.

Agreed^, Ontario Canada is terrible for taxes aswell on used ownership transfers, but that's $12,500 approx USD but then you have to fight with importing, you would be hard pressed to find a 3rd gen with 80,000mi in as good a shape and these options added for that price, but yes bumper, suspension and RHD really effects the purchase. Have you seen the eBay pricing on similar shape mileage USDM 4R's lately, wow is all have to say!
