okay i found out that this was made for the 05 but the parts department told me that it would fit the 03 and up soo i am not sure if i can trust him since special orders cant be returned

Are you sure that its a Toyota part? I googled the part number and it came back with nothing. Why don't you take the plunge and let us know how it turns out? If this is Bluetooth capable, I'd be very interested in it.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it will NOT work. Bluetooth is integrated into the 2006 4Runner navigation headunit. Having the HomeLink with the mic might give older navigation units voice command (not sure about this), but Bluetooth needs the BT radio and chipset. You can do a search on SiennaClub--there's been extensive discussion there on whether BT can be added to older navigation units.

See j0mama's thread for more info on the HomeLink with mic.

well i have a kenwood system soo i think i can tinker around with it so it works....i duno if i can have the blue tooth screen up but ill try :)

was a connection to the microphone accessable? I am thinking of adding the new alpine IVA-W200 w/ bluetooth, but i am not thrilled about puting a aftermarket microphone anywhere...I am curious if i could use this piece as the microphone for the alpine unit.

Anybody have any experience with this, or have any idea what kind of wiring the microphone connection has?
