Honest opinion: What is my 4runner worth? (pics)

I bought this 1999 SR5 2wd back in 2010 with 140k on it with the intentions of keeping for a long time. Well Thanksgiving 2014 rolled around and this happened. The 4runner was parked outside my apartment and flatbed truck lost its load spilling drywall and lumber, crushing the entire passenger side of the truck.

Fast forward to present day 2016, the 4runner is still my "daily" driver with now 163k miles, abet still with a crushed in passenger side. I'm looking to move into a 4th gen, but I'm struggling with what to do with the 3rd gen.

My thought is to put zero maintenance into the truck, basically drive it until an issue arises that takes me off the road, and then sell it for whatever I can get, as opposed to selling it now for a slightly higher price. I was thinking I can probably get $1.5k right now, maybe $800 if something serious happens?

TL: DR, what would you pay for a 1999 SR5 2wd with 161k miles and a crushed passenger side? Also of note the valve cover gasket leaks and the timing belt and water pump were last changed at 72k. Otherwise its fine and I drive it almost every day.

Agree with you on the zero maintenance. Other than oil and monitoring your tranny and radiator temps/fluids I wouldn't put a dime into it. It would be money lost. Here's what I would do:

• Continue to drive it and use it as your DD.
• Put it up for sale and ask $2500 as is.
• Advertise the good points - engine, tranny, leather interior, wheels and tires, sport hood, etc.
• Be ready to take a low ball offer of $1500 or less.
• Go buy your 4th Gen.
• Find a better place to park.

EDIT: And a ZERO Rust Frame if it's true. You're on the east coast so put it in CL in the northeastern states NH, Del, NJ, NY etc...

And...sorry about the damage. Hate to see you have to go through this.

I would keep it and drive it. Yeah, it maybe a little smashed, but it will continue to serve you well for many more years. Your truck looks to be in fantastic shape, especially the interior. Those dents could probably be popped out for a small amount.

You could also part it out and help fix parts from across the country. Dibs on seats, hood, console, window switches, stereo bezel,
