Hood Scoop on a TRD Pro - Are these always black or can they come painted?

Hello,

I will be purchasing a 2021 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock and had a question on the hood scoop color. For the TRD Pro hood scoop do these come black-out by default or can I ask for it to come paint matched (Lunar Rock) ?

They're always colored matched, they aren't black...unless you get a black TRDP.

19 and 20 pros came with black scoop insert. I would think 21 would be same.

All inserts are black, always have been since 2010. The scoop itself is color matched.

Ahh, now it makes sense. In that case, it's quite easy to take it out and paint.

Actually there are two kids of hood scoops inserts. The ones that were on the TE/Trdor were intended to be color match and has its own part number. When the 19/20 pro came around, 2nd type of insert was a available which was intended not to be color match. It’s a black plastic with a satin clear coat which is identical to the pro front and rear valances. This insert also has a different part number.
