Not for 5th gen. It’s a scooped hoods are completely different then non-scooped hoods.

Scooped hoods are ~ $350 + paint and install

Oh! Well I’m clearly totally wrong. It never crossed my mind when I saw hood scoop parts on parts diagrams that the hood was different.

Is there any styling or performance advantage to the scooped hood? Is it just to accommodate the scoop?

The hood and scoop components new from Toyota are about $500 plus about $350 for paint. Aftermarket hoods can be had cheaper but I would rather spend the extra $100 and have Toyota quality products. Absolutely no performance gain, it's non functional. It's purely for looks and IMO it looks better than the flat hood.

It’s all for looks. There’s no performance gains. Here’s a pic of my limited when i first installed the scooped hood. You can clearly see a bulge. In this pic it’s missing the black scoop insert.
